Thank You for Making My Book, Selling Luxury Homes, #1 on Amazon!

Hello Luxury Real Estate Specialists:

I want to begin this week’s newsletter by thanking you profoundly for the overwhelming response to my webinar and my Amazon book campaign last Thursday. I had help from agents across the country and indeed around the world. My book did make it to the number one spot on amazon.com on October 6th. More amazingly, my other two books unexpectedly climbed to #2 and #3 in another real estate category on Amazon.

It has always been my goal to be an author, although I had never really thought about being a bestselling author. With your help, that dream was realized and the ante was upped: I had three books on the Amazon best seller list on the same day!

It is also interesting to note that, “Selling Luxury Homes”, is the most expensive book on the bestseller list. As I consulted with people in the book and publishing business prior to my promotion, nearly all of them said that to attain my goal, I would have to steeply discount the price of the book to be best seller.

While their arguments had merit, my reluctance to do so centered on the fact that:

1. My book is about selling luxury real estate. Luxury does not go on sale

2. An entire chapter in the book centers on negotiation including how to earn the fee you deserve based upon bringing extra value to your clients.

Discounting was out of the question. We designed our campaign to bring tremendous value to purchasers of the book on Amazon Day. Hundreds of agents have downloaded the bonus items we offered.

I hope you agree that the value was compelling.

How often are you confronted with the challenge of maintaining your fee in your luxury real estate business? Cutting your fee to get or maintain business is an admission that you are a commodity or that you your self don’t believe in your value proposition.
