How to Be Congruent with Your Brand as a Luxury Agent

Posted by on Aug 6, 2013 | No Comments

I was driving to an appointment this week thinking about how much I dislike my car.  It’s the third Escalade I have owned and although it’s pretty new, it drives like it has 200,000 miles on it: It rattles and shakes and weaves all over the road.

Looking at new cars got me thinking about branding and the promise of a brand. My car certainly does not meet the promise of the brand.

Looking at cars got me thinking about the Volkswagen Phaeton that came out years ago.  As you recall the Phaeton was a beautiful handcrafted car with V12 engine and lots of wood and leather.  It was a high end, luxury VW priced at $100,000.

As you may know, it did not sell well. However, Volkswagen figured out a way to double the price and sell lots of cars. Watch today’s video and find out what they did.  Then, think about your brand.

Enjoy this week’s video and be sure to check out my new brand, www.LuxuryAgentAcademy.com.

Lastly: Think about your own luxury listings and decide which one could benefit from exposure through my newsletter. Send me pictures and a brief description with your contact information and I’ll include the best one with mine in my weekly e-video news blast. Wouldn’t that be great if we had a referral in our group every single week as a result of this video series?

In the meantime don’t forget to pass this video to a Realtor friend.
