Using The Power of Story in Real Estate Listing Videos

Posted by on Nov 4, 2013 | 5 Comments

Have you noticed that a lot more marketers are using the power of story to sell their product? Even Subaru uses stories in their ads rather than talking about the features of their cars.

Stories and the conveying of stories is a large part of what makes us human. As I cover in my teachings, stories help us:

  • Convey the promise of brand (our company brand and our personal brand)
  • Convey the value of our points of difference
  • Connect across generations and wealth strata’s
  • Convey the value of our listings.

Today, I will talk about using video to tell the story of your listing rather than just listing the rooms of your listing. You can see the video that tells the story of my newest listing at www.FoxIslandCapeCod.com. Enjoy today’s video.

Don’t forget, I will cover more of your luxury real estate questions on the first Tuesday of each month. Register RIGHT NOW at www.LuxuryRealEstateUnplugged.com. This is FREE, monthly one-on-one coaching in a group setting. Sign up and get your question submitted without delay. Action items this week:

Lastly: Think about your own luxury listings and decide which one could benefit from exposure through my newsletter. Send me pictures and a brief description with your contact information and I’ll include the best one with mine in my weekly e-video news blast. Wouldn’t that be great if we had a referral in our group every single week as a result of this video series? In the meantime don’t forget to pass this video to a Realtor friend.

Telling a true story that is compelling can really engage consumers and establish you (the agent) as a knowledgeable local expert. A lot of good tips here that agents can put into action easily with just a little creativity… even if they don’t have an amazing water front listing!

It stands to reason that one would want to present luxury properties with a story because most luxury properties have a story to be told. Thank you, Jack, for reminding us of the power and compelling nature of a good story. In fact, I will be doing that with my gentleman’s ranch listing http://www.339TownEastBlvd.com
