Creating Affirmations – Part 2
As I mentioned in my last two newsletters, I love the book “The Greatest Salesman in the World” as both a great read and the source of a foundation for your affirmations. In this video, I will talk about the final five affirmations adopted from the book. Use these as a jumping off point to create your own personalized affirmations for the new year.
Here they are:
1. I am the master of my emotions
- The seeds of today’s sadness carry the seed of tomorrows bloom.
- I never let my thoughts control my actions.
- My actions control my thoughts and emotions.
- I master my moods through positive action and when I master my moods I control my destiny.
- Today, I control my destiny.
2. Petty happenings don’t disturb me. I can laugh at the world
- I recognize that the petty happenings of today are insignificant in the rivers of centuries.
- I understand the power of four words: This too shall pass.
- I don’t labor to be happy.
- I remain too busy to be sad.
3. I multiply my value every day
- I have goals that guide my life.
- To surpass the deeds of others is unimportant. To surpass my own deeds is all.
- I do the things that failures will not do.
- I always let my reach exceed my grasp.
- I raise my goals as soon as they are attained.
- I strive to make each hour better than the one before.
4. I am a person of action
- I act without hesitation to overcome fear.
- I tackle the tasks of today head on and never charge them to tomorrow.
- I know it is better to act and fail than to not act and flounder.
- Action determines my value and to multiply my value I multiply my actions.
5. I pray for wisdom and guidance
- God, help me. For this day I go out into the world naked and lone, and without your hand to guide me, I will wander far from the path that leads to success and happiness.
- Guide me in my words that they may bear fruit.
- Favor me with alertness to recognize opportunity.
- Let me become all that you planned for me.
- Guide me God.
