How Reading Can Make You an Expert on Luxury Real Estate
As we continue our series on building the perception of expertise in the Luxury Real Estate marketplace, our focus turns to Reading. Not just reading to read but reading what “they” read: Wall Street Journal, Forbes and your local business press.
In the video, I talk about a goal of one to three hours of reading per day. While a lofty goal, it might be an intimidating one. In the book, Miracle Morning, (which I highly recommend) Hal Elrod says that a goal of ten pages per day will result in 3,600 pages per year.<—Click to Tweet
Would that amount of knowledge absorbed make a difference in your life and career? You bet!
Lastly, I can’t count the number of times that I have read an article in the business press then, within days or weeks, my path crosses with someone connected to the story, even if the connection is minor. Being able to talk with knowledge and confidence around the topic written about, is a great way to convey expertise.
