Luxury Home Snow Showing Tips
One of the great things about living on Cape Cod is that our winters tend to be a bit milder than you find even just a few miles to the north. This year is the exception though as we continue to get snow.
I debated making this video because the information seems so basic. Something changed my mind though. I’ll explain in today’s video where I give advice on Luxury Snow Showing. All of you in warmer climates can laugh, but watch anyway…
Here are the tips covered:
1. Wear easy to remove boots or shoes
2. Encourage other agent to do so also during appointment set up
3. Leave plenty of room for prospect to park in the ideal spot
4. Be out there to direct them if necessary
5. Make sure all driveways and walkways are safe and cleared.
–> Spread out ice melt or sand to provide traction during snowy weather. Shoveling the snow on the driveway and sidewalks will make your real estate appear more inviting and well-maintained.
–> Be sure to place a mat for visitors to wipe their feet on. You may need one for the back door also.
–> Take off your boots or shoes and leave in entryway in plain sight. Prospects take the hint.
–> If applicable, have paths to amenities cleared including: Detached garage, Cottage or guest house, and Waterfront area or dock
6. Get to showings early and give a tune up as needed:
–> Have a shovel ready for any last minute cleanup of the front walk
–> Warm up the house. Buyers will remember the house that was pleasantly warm on a frigid day.
–> Turn all the lights in the house on; place warm-toned throws and decorator pillows around the living room.
–> If there is a gas fireplace, click it on.
–> Put on some soothing classical or jazz music; keep the volume low enough that buyers can talk quietly to each other.
Enjoy the video and make it a great week.
