Today I begin a four part series on negotiation. Over the next few weeks, I will cover as much as I can to help you overcome your negotiation obstacles. This week, I just want you to consider the idea that the best negotiation strategy is NO negotiation.

Most negotiations come from a difference of opinion, belief or position. This can be referred to as an objection. So before we get into negotiation, let’s review five steps to handling objections. When followed, they will often work and when they do…it makes a negotiation unnecessary. The five steps I will cover in today’s video include:

1.    Pause

2.    Repeat & Acknowledge

3.    Isolate

4.    Deal with it

5.    Close
