Do This to Establish Your Authority
Last week, Victoria Kennedy and I highlighted the importance of over-communicating.
This week, we will discuss why it’s important to create resources.
Create a Guide
According to Victoria, it’s important to create resources that are helpful and free. Create a guide with a few tips, such as the five things you need to know before you sell or seven things you should know before you buy. Give out these free resources and give your contact information saying “If you want to learn more about this, if you need help buying, here’s my contact information.” Canva is a great resource that’s free, easy to use, and will allow you can create a custom PDF.
Frame Yourself as an Authority Figure
By giving away a free resource, you’re sending two messages. One, it says, “I don’t need anything. I’m just here to help.” Two, it frames you as an authority figure. It says that you know what you’re doing and you’re sharing it freely. People will see that you’re an expert and will want to work with you.
Creating a resource means demonstrating your expertise because fools don't write very much. People who have expertise sit down and write something that is a value to other people. Share on X
Until next time, make it a great week.
