Humanness: The New Luxury
“Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care.” – Teddy Roosevelt
Relationships and businesses are built with trust.
When people know how much you care, you have begun building the foundations of trust-based relationships.
I want to share with you a timeless marketing tip that I spoke about with Brian Loebker, real estate professional from Sarasota, Florida. It might be “old fashioned”, but it’s still very effective.
Although there have been incredible technological advances in Luxury Real Estate marketing, one thing that has not changed since I started is the concept of high touch – being personal.
When I first started working in Luxury Real Estate, there was no such thing as a fax machine, photocopier, or word processor. When you wanted to write a letter to someone, you either physically wrote or manually typed it. In my case, I had a Remington typewriter that I bought in college for $75. It was all that I could afford.
I used to type 100 letters every single night at home. I understood the concept of high touch and always felt that making the letters personal was critically important.
In a digitally driven age where instant messaging and abbreviated short replies are prevalent, there is truly nothing like holding a piece of paper in your hand that contains a personal note customized for you. Share on XHumanness is the new Luxury.
It’s timeless.
